Degradation of a system over time can be accounted for by selecting a degradation rate below. Initial generation predictions assume a linear degradation rate of 0.8% per year.
Data Sources (click to expand)
- Real generation data used in developing the model and in the neighbour comparisons is supplied by the Microgen Database.
- The Photovoltaic Geographical Information System (PVGIS) provides a map-based inventory of solar energy resource and assessment of the electricity generation from photovoltaic systems in Europe, Africa, and South-West Asia. It is commonly used by installers to supplement the MCS prediction. "SARAH" is the more recent tool and uses satellite based irradiance data.
